Extended Closure

LogRide considers rides to be under “extended closure” when an attraction is still standing AND one of the following criteria are met:

Announced that it is going to be down for a period (park announced)

  • Removed from website entirely
  • Construction
  •  Accident
  • Other significant event (i.e. COVID, Sign Removal)

*This does not include rides that are closed for annual maintenance/season (i.e. water rides). Rides are considered defunct once announced closed and/or removed from the park.

Roller Coasters

We understand there are multiple opinions on what qualifies as a roller coaster. If you do not agree with our categorizations, you can use the Custom Attraction Type feature in LogRide.

Beyond the standard roller coaster, LogRide also adds the following types-

  • Kiddie Coasters
  • Powered Coasters
  • Alpine/Mountain Coasters
  • Water Coasters*

*not to be confused with water slides

Special Cases
  • Each complete track circuit gets one (1) entry in LogRide (Ex: racing coasters with two, completely separate tracks would be added as two (2) entries).
  • Mobius Loop Roller Coasters are added a single entry.
  • VR overlays do NOT added as a separate roller coaster entry, but may be added as an Alternative Experience.

-How LogRide defines-

“Inversion”

“For roller coasters- An element that tilts riders at an angle greater than or equal to 135 degrees will be considered an inversion if the angle statistic has been verified by a reliable source.”
